Software development Engineer/programmer

CKC Laboratories and Electromagnetic Compatibility testing company is looking for a self motivated Software Programmer. This Programmer will design, analyze, modify code, develop new code, test, and implement functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems and websites. 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes, designs, and programs viable solutions of medium to highly complex business problems defined by user and management requirements

  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements medium to highly complex software applications

  • Performs all levels of unit integration and user acceptance testing

  • Reviews detailed functional specifications from management

  • Plans and manages projects within allocated resources and time

  • Develops time estimates for project schedules

  • Assumes responsibility for the content of formal design reviews

  • Provides timely and accurate progress information to project status reports

  • Assumes responsibility for immediate response to production program problems

  • Provides technical assistance to employees when needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in programming for an organization

  • Strong working knowledge of system development life cycle and methodologies

Efficient in most or all of the following programming languages

  • ActiveX Control Development

  • ADO for database development

  • ASP for web site design

  • ASP.NET

  • C#

  • COM/DCOM software development

  • Java

  • JavaScript

  • MS SQL for database development

  • MS SQL Server 7.0/2000/2005/2008 Management

  • Visual Basic 6

  • Visual Basic .NET

  • XML

Working knowledge or familiar with the following

  • MS Office Access/Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint

  • MS Word scripting

  • Rational Unified Process

  • Unified Modeling Language (UML)

  • Microsoft Server 2003/2008

  • Hardware interface driver development

  • Ability to develop cross browser

EMC Engineer

Responsibilities

An EMC engineer will have the following responsibilities:

●  Performs testing as per test plans according to MIL-STD's, DO-160, Bellcore, FCC, ETS and other national and international standards.

●  Independently evaluate, select, and apply test standards, EMC testing techniques, test procedures and criteria, using your judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.

●  Understanding basic EMC theory as it relates to testing, troubleshooting, and retrofitting.

An EMC Engineer’s assignments usually include: troubleshooting and retrofitting a design to comply with standards using filters, ferrite’s or grounding principles, preparation of test specifications, research investigations, report preparation and other activities requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed by EMC Engineers.

Qualifications

●  BS in Electrical Engineering or four years of specific EMC test experience or equivalent.

●  Operation of spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, pre-amplifiers, antennas, multi-meter, and other diagnostic test equipment for performing EMC measurements between 9 kHz and 40 GHz. May take responsibility for calibrations of antennas, site’s, LISN’s, pre-amps, cables, current probes, injections probes, CDN’s, and other lab equipment.

●  Experienced and skilled in Microsoft Windows, MS Word Excel and other Windows programs.
